LOGAN, Utah – Utah State junior inside linebacker Bronson Olevao Jr. is a nominee for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, a pair of awards recognizing players for their performance on the field as well as their impact in the community.
Olevao, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah (Highland HS), has played in 15 career games and has 29 career tackles (19 solo), which includes 3.5 sacks and 6.0 tackles for loss.
Olevao is actively involved in community outreach in Cache Valley. Some of the many endeavors he volunteers for include athletic council on campus, working with youth in the valley through Team Impact, and attending various functions through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football athletes for their unwavering commitment to community service and their “good works” off the field. Nominees are eligible for the Wuerffel Trophy, awarded annually to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership and performance on and off the field.
