COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico senior Tye Wood has been named the Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week, while Fresno State junior Jack Anker has been selected the MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Nevada rookie Sean Yamaguchihas been selected as the MW Baseball Freshman of the Week.

  • Helped New Mexico to a 3-1 record last week with a series win over Washington State and a midweek victory over Texas Tech.
  • Batted .474 in four starts in the outfield with nine hits, including five for extra bases, six RBIs and six runs scored.
  • Posted three multi-hit efforts and a .842 slugging percentage.
