NEW ORLEANS (March 24, 2025) – Senior thrower Daniel Reynolds has been named the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Indoor Track and Field National Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday.

The National Field Athlete of the Year honor has been awarded every year since 2006 by the USTFCCCA with four former honorees also winning The Bowerman. Before 2006, the award was an overall honor for the best track or field athlete since 1994.

Reynolds earned the award, a first for a Mountain West athlete, after winning the NCAA weight throw title with a meet record throw of 25.08 meters, sweeping the Mountain West Indoor Championships throws events and capping off an undefeated season by tying the No. 2 All-Time collegiate mark in the weight throw.
