COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships regional selections were announced on Monday, with all four Mountain West members represented.

The top 36 teams based on the national qualifying score (NQS) were selected for regional competition. The committee named the top 16 teams and seeded them in the bracket. Teams 17-36 were placed geographically at one of the four regional sites. Nine teams will compete at each of the four regional sites. The NQS at the time of selections will be maintained for seeding throughout the championships.

Utah State, which won the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, and MW regular-season champion Boise State both earned team bids to the Utah Regional, which will be hosted by the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Utah State will be making its first team appearance since 2022. The Broncos will be making their 17th straight regional appearance.

The Aggies, ranked No. 32 in the latest NQS rankings, will face BYU, also No. 32, head-to-head in the first round on Wednesday, April 2. The winner will advance to the second round on Thursday, April 3, where No. 4 seed Utah, No. 13 seed Stanford and Denver await. In the top half of the regional, Boise State, No. 30 in the NQS, will square off against No. 5 seed UCLA, No. 12 seed Minnesota and Southern Utah on April 3. The top two teams from both of those pods will advance to the regional final on Saturday, April 5.

The committee also selected the top 12 all-around competitors and top 16 event specialists based on the NQS and placed them geographically into one of the four regional sites while adhering to the selection procedures. The list of all-arounders and individual event specialists included individual-qualifying scores from the teams competing in the first round. That ensures those individuals will compete in the individual competition if their team does not advance from the first round.

Air Force sophomore Maggie Slife, the MW Gymnast of the Year and Floor Specialist of the Year, earned one of three all-around spots in the Utah Regional. Utah State’s Nyla Morabito was one of three individuals selected for vault and earned one of four spots on floor, while teammate Avery Bibbey was selected for bars. The Aggies’ Brianna Brooks, the Credit Union 1 MW Championship MVP and MW Beam Specialist of the Year, earned individual spots on bars and beam, while San José State’s Madison Gustitus and Utah State’s Sydney Jelen also earned spots on beam, giving the MW three of the four individual selections on the apparatus.

The top two teams from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships. In addition, the top all-around competitor and top event specialist from round two at each regional (who is not on a team advancing to nationals) will advance to the national championships. Event specialist qualifiers will only compete in the events they qualified.

The national championships will take place April 17-19 in Fort Worth, Texas, at Dickies Arena. The championship event is hosted by Texas Woman’s University and Knight Eady.
