COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada senior Michael Ball has been named the Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week, while teammate Eric Valdez has been selected the MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Washington State’s Ollie Obenour collected the MW Baseball Freshman of the Week honor.

Senior, Infielder, Beaverton, Oregon/Everett Community College
- Led Nevada to a 2-1 series victory over San Francisco.
- Batted .500 in three starts with seven hits, seven RBIs and five runs scored.
- Posted a .562 on-base percentage and a 1.214 slugging percentage.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
ERIC VALDEZ, NEVADA
Junior, Reno, Nevada/Feather River College
- Pitched 5.2 innings in Nevada’s 5-1 win, clinching the series victory.
- Gave up no earned runs and just two hits.
- Struck out seven batters in the relief outing.

OLLI OBENOUR, WASHINGTON STATE
Infielder, San Jose, California/Oregon
- Helped Washington State to a 2-1 series victory over Seattle.
- Batted .462 in three starts with six hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs.
- Posted an on-base percentage of .467 and a slugging percentage of .615.
