COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eight Mountain West football players have been invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place in Indianapolis from Feb. 24 to March 3.
Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award winner Ashton Jeanty headlines the group, as the Heisman runner-up and MW Offensive Player of the Year is the lone MW running back to earn an invite. Jeanty turned in one of the all-time great college football seasons, rushing for 2,601 yards, the second-best single-season total in FBS history. He helped Boise State to the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff and a spot in the Fiesta Bowl.
Boise State has now had at least one player receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine in 21 straight years.
Four MW wide receivers earned invitations, led by Biletnikoff Award finalist Nick Nash of San José State. Nash, a unanimous, consensus All-American alongside Jeanty, became just the fourth player in FBS history to win the receiving triple crown in the regular season, leading the FBS in receptions (a school-record 104), receiving yards (1,382), and receiving touchdowns (16).
Also earning invites to the NFL Combine were Colorado State wide receiver Tory Horton, who was on pace to set the MW’s career receiving yards record before a season-ending injury, UNLV wide receiver Ricky White III, the MW Special Teams Player of the Year who earned athletic and academic All-America honors this season, and Utah State wide receiver Jalen Royals, a two-time All-MW selection and 2023 College Football Network All-American.
On the defensive side of the ball, Boise State defensive lineman Ahmed Hassanein, one of the finalists for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, Nevada defensive back Kitan Crawford, an honorable mention All-MW selection in his lone year in the Conference, and UNLV linebacker Jackson Woodard, an All-American, Academic All-American and the MW Defensive Player of the Year, earned invites.
