COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced weekly winners following the third week of the season that saw all four teams competing in head-to-head matchups.
ALL-AROUNDER & FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE
So., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin / Arrowhead HS
- Scored a conference-best 39.375 in the all-around in the Falcons’ dual meet against Utah State.
- Claimed her third straight All-Arounder of the Week accolade.
- Scored a conference-best 9.900 on floor to secure the individual title on the event.
- Also scored a 9.800 on vault, 9.825 on bars, and 9.850 on beam en route to her all-around total.
VAULT SPECIALIST & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA BIGLER, AIR FORCE
Fr., Phoenix, Arizona / Sandra Day O’Connor HS
- Scored a league-best 9.925 on vault, the highest mark by any freshman in the conference this week.
- Also scored a 9.850 on bars, 9.750 on beam and 9.775 on floor en route to a total of 39.300 in the all-around.
BARS SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
EMILY LOPEZ, BOISE STATE
Sr., Mission Viejo, California / Trabuco Hills HS
- Scored a league-best 9.900 on bars during a quad meet at San José State.
- Claimed her second straight Bars Specialist of the Week award.
- Also recorded the top mark on the beam for the Broncos, scoring a 9.825.
- Also competed on vault, scoring a 9.775.
CO-BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
JENNA EAGLES, UTAH STATE
Gr., Ramsey, Minnesota / Anoka HS
- Scored a league-best 9.875 on beam at Air Force, sharing the individual title with teammate Sydney Jelen.
- Also scored a 9.700 on floor during the meet.
CO-BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
SYDNEY JELEN, UTAH STATE
So., Algonquin, Illinois / Dundee-Crown HS
- Scored a league-best 9.875 on beam at Air Force, sharing the individual title with teammate Jenna Eagles.
- Also scored a 9.800 on bars during the meet.
MW teams will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 31, when Boise State hosts Utah State and Sacramento State and Air Force hosts San José State and Hamline. The Falcons then have a quick turnaround, competing at Texas Woman’s University on Sunday, Feb. 2.
The 2025 regular season will culminate at the Credit Union 1 MW Gymnastics Championship, slated to be hosted by San José State on Saturday, March 22. Tickets are available at this link or through the SJSU ticket office.
