COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three Mountain West football players earned Walter Camp All-America honors Thursday.

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty and San José State wide receiver Nick Nash earned first-team honors on offense. Boise State offensive lineman Kage Casey claimed second-team distinction.

Jeanty, who also claimed the Maxwell Award as the national player of the year and the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back Thursday, leads the FBS in several offensive categories, including rushing yards (2,497), rushing yards per game (192.1), rushing touchdowns (29), total offense (201.0), total points score (180) and total touchdowns (30). In addition to winning the Maxwell and Doak Walker awards, he is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and was a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award.

Nash, who was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, is just the fourth player to earn the FBS receiving triple crown in the regular season, as he enters postseason play leading the FBS in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,382) and receiving touchdowns (16). He also leads the country with 8.7 receptions per game and 115.2 yards per game and has thrown two touchdown passes this season.

Casey anchored an offensive line that not only paved the way for Jeanty, but also helped the Broncos rank in the top 10 in the FBS in several categories. Boise State is No. 6 in rushing yards per game (250.5) and total offense yards per game (470.2) and 10th in sacks allowed at just 0.92 per contest. The Broncos are No. 7 in first downs with 304 this season and second in interceptions thrown with just four. Boise State ranks fourth nationally in scoring offense at 39.1 points per game.
