BOISE, Idaho – Boise State continued its climb of the College Football Playoff rankings, earning the No. 10 spot, the highest in program history. The Broncos remained the fourth-highest conference leader and top-ranked Group of 5 team.

The Broncos finished the regular season with an 11-1 overall record and a 7-0 mark in the Mountain West. Their 10-game win streak is the second-longest active streak in the nation. Running back Ashton Jeanty was named MW Offensive Player of the Year and Spencer Danielson was the MW Coach of the Year. The duo has secured several other accolades, with Jeanty being named a finalist for the Doak Walker, Maxwell and Walter Camp Awards and Danielson earning AFCA Region 5 Coach of the Year honors.

Jeanty was a unanimous first team All-MW offensive selection and was joined by offensive linemen Kage Casey and Ben Dooley, as well as tight end Matt Lauter. Defensive ends Ahmed Hassanein and Jayden Virgin-Morgan were also named first team All-MW, as was linebacker Marco Notarainni. Defensive tackle Braxton Fely and safety Seyi Oladipo garnered All-MW second team honors, while Ty Benefield, Cameron Camper, Jonah Dalmas, Maddux Madsen and Alexander Teubner were named honorable mention.

This will be the first year of the expanded College Football Playoff, with 12 teams garnering inclusion. The 12 teams will be the five highest-ranked conference champions followed by the next seven highest-ranked teams. The four highest-ranked conference champions will receive a first-round bye.

The Broncos were also selected No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 and US LBM Coaches Poll. Once again, this marks the highest Boise State has been tabbed in both polls since 2011, when it was ranked No. 6 in the final Coaches Poll and No. 8 in the final AP Poll.

Boise State will host No. 20 UNLV in the 2024 Old Trapper Mountain West Championship at 6 p.m. on Friday. The game will be televised on FOX. The network’s Big Noon Kickoff crew will broadcast a pregame show on The Blue, beginning at 5 p.m.
