TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – San José State wide receiver Nick Nash has been named a 2024 Biletnikoff Award finalist, announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc. on Tuesday.
He is the first Biletnikoff Award finalist from SJSU and the first Mountain West Conference finalist since Colorado State’s Michael Gallup in 2017
Nash leads the country in touchdown receptions (14), receptions (96), and receptions per game (8.7). He is second in the country in receiving yards (1,291) and receiving yards per game (117.4). Nash has also thrown for two touchdowns this season and helped lead the Spartans to bowl eligibility.
Nash’s 96 receptions this season is an SJSU single-season record, and he had an SJSU record touchdown reception in his first 10 games played this season. Nash is one touchdown reception shy of tying the SJSU single-season touchdown receiving record.
Nash joins Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan and Colorado’s Travis Hunter as the three finalists, with the winner announced on Dec. 12, 2024, during ESPN’s The Home Depot College Football Awards.
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver at any position. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award.
The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipients are selected by the distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
