COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State will host the 2024 Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, on Friday, Dec. 6. The Broncos will face either No. 24 UNLV or Colorado State.
Ranked No. 12 in the latest CFP rankings, Boise State is 10-1 overall and topped Wyoming 17-13 on Saturday to complete MW play with a 7-0 record and clinch a spot in the title game.
With Colorado State’s 28-22 loss at Fresno State on Saturday, Boise State is assured of being the only MW squad to finish Conference play with an unblemished record.
The Rams and the Rebels will enter Week 14 play with identical 5-1 MW marks. Colorado State hosts Utah State on Friday and UNLV welcomes Nevada on Saturday.
Should the teams both win or lose, the tie would be broken by either CFP rankings or results-based computer metrics, as Colorado State and UNLV did not meet in the regular season.
Led by Heisman frontrunner Ashton Jeanty, Boise State will be appearing in the MW title game for the third straight season and the eighth time overall in the game’s 12th season of existence. The Broncos will host the game for the sixth time and first since 2022.
The Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship will air on FOX for the fifth straight season. The contest is set for a 6 p.m. MT start.
