COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With NCAA Regionals in the books and the fields set for the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 23 in Madison, Wisconsin, the final poll U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Poll (USTFCCCA) was released on Tuesday, Nov. 18 with four Mountain West squads ranked ahead of the national meet.

Following the second-place finish at the Mountain Regional, the New Mexico men moved up one spot to No. 5, matching the Lobos’ highest ranking in program history. Utah State used a strong fourth-place finish at the Mountain Regional to propel the Aggies to the Championship meet and re-enter the rankings at No. 23, while Wyoming is ranked for a third  consecutive poll, this time at No. 29.

On the women’s side, the New Mexico women, fresh off their third-place finish at the Mountain Regional, remained at No. 10 for a second straight poll and are heading to the NCAA Championships for the 16th time in the last 17 years.

The Lobo men and women are both headed to nationals in the same year for the first time 2014, while its just the second time in program history both squads are ranked in the top 10 ahead of the event.

The 2024 NCAA Championships are taking place at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course located in Madison, Wisconsin. Saturday’s coverage on ESPNU will begin live at 9:30 a.m. ET.
