RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women’s Tennis and the Mountain West will send Amahée Charrier to the ITA Conference Masters Championship in Rome, Ga.

The ITA Conference Masters Championship begins Thursday, November 7 and run through November 10. The tournament features one singles player and one doubles pair from each of the 32 NCAA DI Conferences. The four semifinalists of the singles draw will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas later this fall.

Charrier qualified for the tournament through her performance at the Mountain West Fall Tennis Qualifier, earlier this month. Charrier was the runner up at the Mountain West qualifier, losing to Boise State’s Zdena Safarova in the women’s singles final. Safarova won the match, 2-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1.

Safarova then won the ITA Mountain Regional, Tuesday morning, defeating Denver’s Andrea Beltran, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the final.

Safarova automatically qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships by reaching the Mountain regional final, pushing her ITA Conference Masters bid to Charrier as players already qualified for the Individual Championships are not eligible to play in the ITA Conference Masters.

Draws for the ITA Conference Masters Championships are yet to be determined.
