LAS VEGAS – The Mountain West announced the 2024-25 Women’s Basketball preseason poll today as voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches and select media. The UNLV Lady Rebels were selected to win the regular-season Conference title. The Scarlet and Gray have won the last three regular-season titles and Conference championship titles and look to extend those streaks to four.

UNLV collected 21 of the 30 first-place votes and totaled 298 points in the preseason poll.  The Lady Rebels return two starters from last year’s team that made their third straight NCAA tournament appearance, along with 2023-24 MW Freshman/Sixth Player of the Year honoree, Amarachi Kimpson.

With three first-place votes, Wyoming was voted to take second place, followed by Colorado State in third with four first-place votes, Boise State in fourth and San Diego State in fifth with the final two first-place votes.

New Mexico is slotted to finish in sixth place, followed by Nevada in seventh, Air Force in eighth, Fresno State in ninth, San José State in 10th and Utah State in 11th.
