RENO, Nev. – Former Nevada Basketball player has signed a professional contract with WKS Ślask Wroclaw of the Polish Basketball League.

“We are so proud of Kenan and cannot wait to continue watching his journey as a professional basketball player,” said Head Coach Steve Alford. “Kenan has been an instrumental piece of our program over the past three seasons, and his hard work has paid off. He has forever etched his name into Nevada Basketball history, and I look forward to seeing him continue to succeed both on and off the court.”

After spending the first two seasons of his collegiate career at FAU, the Orlando, Florida native transferred to Nevada ahead of the 2021-22 campaign and was a standout player for the Pack in each of the past three seasons.

In three seasons with the Pack, Blackshear appeared in 96 games with 89 starts. He averaged 12.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 45.6 percent from the field.

Blackshear was recognized as a member of the All-Mountain West Second Team in each of the past two seasons, in addition to NABC District-17 First Team honors during the 2022-23 season and All-District Second Team honors this past season.

During the 2023-24 campaign, Blackshear led the Pack in assists per game (4.97 APG) and steals per game (1.4 SPG), while ranking second on the team in scoring (15.1 PPG), second in rebounding (4.8 RPG), and third in field goal percentage (49.9%). Blackshear scored 30+ points in two contests throughout the season, dropping a career-high 31 points on 12-22 shooting from the field to lead the Pack to a road victory over Washington (11/12/23), before pouring in 30 points on 11-14 shooting to help Nevada defeat Georgia Tech in the Diamond Head Classic Championship game.

Blackshear will now head to Wroclaw, Poland to compete in the Polish Basketball League, the highest level of professional basketball within the country. Blackshear will join a strong WKS Ślask Wroclaw team that finished in third place last season.
