COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four former Mountain West players were selected in the United Football League’s 2024 UFL College Draft on Wednesday, including two first-round picks.

Former San José State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro was the first MW player off the board, as the record-setting signal-caller went with the fifth overall pick to the St. Louis Battlehawks. Cordeiro, who played the first four years of his collegiate career at Hawai‘i before spending the final two at SJSU, finished his career as the Conference’s all-time leader in total offense yards gained (13,811), total offense plays (2,138) and touchdowns responsible for (113).

Former Wyoming offensive tackle Frank Crum was selected by the Birmingham Stallions with the final pick of the first round and the eighth pick overall. Crum was a first-team All-MW selection in 2023, starting all 12 games at left tackle after spending the previous three seasons at right tackle. He led an offensive line that enabled four Cowboy backs to rush for 100 yards in a game on the season.

Former Colorado State tight end Dallin Holker will join Crum on the Stallions, as he was taken by the squad with the eighth pick of the fifth round (40th overall). Holker earned All-America honors from several organizations in 2023, earning first-team distinction from College Football Network and second-team honors from the AFCA, Associated Press, Athlon Sports, College Football News, ESPN, FWAA, Phil Steele, Sports Illustrated, The Sporting News, USA Today and Walter Camp. He was the runner-up for the John Mackey Award after leading all FBS tight ends with 64 catches and 767 receiving yards.

Three picks later, the Arlington Renegades selected former Air Force linebacker Bo Richter with the third pick of the sixth round (43rd overall). Richter, a first-team All-MW selection in 2023, ranked sixth in the FBS with 1.5 tackles for loss per game (19.5 overall) and 11th nationally with 0.77 sacks per game last season (10.0 overall).
