COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force sophomore Charlie Jones has been named the Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week, while San José State senior Micky Thompson was selected the MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week. San Diego State’s Zane Kelly was named the MW Baseball Freshman of the Week.

Sophomore, Infielder, Cumming, Georgia/King’s Ridge Christian Academy
- Led Air Force to a series sweep over Fresno State and the Falcons’ first MW regular-season title.
- Batted .462 in three starts with six hits, nine RBIs and two runs scored.
- Drove in six runs in the final game of the series against the Bulldogs.
- Posted a 1.077 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MICKY THOMPSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Senior, Portland, Oregon/Washington State
- Tossed his first career complete game against New Mexico on Friday night.
- Limited the Lobos to five hits, two walks and one earned run.
- Struck out seven batters.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ZANE KELLY, SAN DIEGO STATE
Outfielder, Las Vegas, Nevada/Faith Lutheran HS
- Made three starts in the outfield for San Diego State.
- Batted .583 in 12 plate appearances with seven hits and eight RBIs.
- Posted a 1.333 slugging percentage and on-base percentage of .667.
