INDIANAPOLIS – Boise State senior Courtney Blackson has advanced to compete in the 2024 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships for the second straight year, the NCAA announced Monday.
Blackson qualified as an event specialist on bars following her 9.950 performance during the second round of the 2024 NCAA Regional Championships, where she represented Boise State as an individual competitor. Her score tied the highest regional score in program history.
The senior also holds the program regional record for highest vault score (10.000) and is tied for the program’s best floor score (9.900) at a regional competition.
Last season, the Elk Grove, Calif., native achieved individual national runner-up status on vault after scoring a 9.925 at nationals. Her second-place performance marked the highest finish by a Boise State gymnast and was the highest vault score by a Bronco at nationals in program history.
The championships will be held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, April 18-20. Blackson is slated to compete in the first session of the semifinals at 2:30 p.m., MT.
