COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Each of the teams in the Mountain West were represented among the weekly award winners as the MW announced the final weekly accolades of the 2024 season.

GYMNAST OF THE WEEK / BARS SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE
Fr., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin / Arrowhead HS
• Scored a 39.400 in the all-around, the highest all-around total by a MW gymnast this week, en route to winning the all-around title in a quad meet at Minnesota, which also included West Virginia and Northern Illinois.
• Recorded a 9.925 on bars to tie for the individual title at the meet against Minnesota, West Virginia and Northern Illinois.
• Rounded out her all-around score with a 9.900 on vault, 9.825 on beam and 9.750 on floor.

CO-VAULT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
EMILY LOPEZ, BOISE STATE
Sr., Mission Viejo, California / Trabuco Hills HS
• Scored a 9.925 on vault to tie for first place with Utah State’s Alivia Ostendorf in a tri-meet with the Aggies and Oregon State.
• Competed on bars and beam during the meet as well, scoring a 9.200 and 9.875, respectively.

CO-VAULT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
ALIVIA OSTENDORF, UTAH STATE
Gr., Ramsey, Minnesota / Anoka HS
• Scored a 9.925 on vault to tie for first place with Boise State’s Emily Lopez in a tri-meet with the Broncos and Oregon State.
• Appeared on floor for Utah State in the meet as well, scoring a 9.875.

BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
LAUREN MACPHERSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Sr., Gilbert, Arizona / Perry HS
• Scored a 9.925 on beam to help San José State to a second-place finish at the University of California, finishing behind the Golden Bears (198.500) and ahead of UC Davis (184.900) with a 196.650.
• Finished with a 38.875 in the all-around at the meet, rounding out her total with a 9.825 on vault, 9.200 on bars and 9.925 on floor.

FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK / FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MIA NELSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Fr., Los Alamitos, California / Los Alamitos HS
• Scored a 9.950 on floor to tie for first place in a tri-meet against California and UC Davis.
• Tallied the highest mark by any freshman on any event in the MW with the 9.950 on floor.
• Appeared on vault for the Spartans during the meet, scoring a 9.675.

Teams will now turn their attention to the inaugural MW Championship hosted by Utah State on Saturday, March 23. The rotation order for the 2024 Championship is set with Air Force beginning on vault, Boise State on bars, Utah State on beam and San José State on floor. The rotation order for future championships will be based on this initial draw, with teams opening subsequent championships on the next event in Olympic order.
