COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three Mountain West men’s basketball players have been named to the 2023-24 Oscar Robertson Trophy Watch List as announced by the U.S. Basketball Wristers Association (USBWA).
Colorado State’s Isaiah Stevens, San Diego State’s Jaedon LeDee and Utah State’s Great Osobor are among 40 men’s basketball players across the nation named to this year’s Oscar Robertson Trophy Watch List. The 40 honored players for the Oscar Robertson Trophy and All-America consideration will be placed on the association’s annual awards ballot.
The Mountain West is one of seven conferences (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC) to have three or more student-athletes honored.
Stevens, the Mountain West’s all-time leader in assists, has dished out 207 helpers this season, ranking second in the country in total assists. The guard is averaging 16.4 points, a MW-leading 7.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. Stevens has posted a 3.18 assist-to-turnover ratio, the 14th-best mark in the nation.
LeDee is averaging a MW-leading 20.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season. He has registered double-digit scoring efforts in all 27 appearances. The senior is shooting 56.9 percent from the field, which is the third-best field goal percentage in the league. LeDee, native of Houston, Texas, has been selected as the Oscar Robertson Player of the Week twice in 2023-24.
Osobor is second in the MW in scoring with 17.8 points per game and leads the Conference in rebounds, grabbing 9.1 boards per contest. The junior has posted 12 double-doubles this season, which ranks 24th in the nation. Osobor has scored in double figures on 25 occasions in 2023-24.
The Oscar Robertson Trophy winner is to be announced at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in Glendale, Arizona. The formal presentation of the trophy will follow at the annual USBWA Awards Luncheon hosted by the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
