COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State swept weekly awards on individual events this week as the Mountain West announced weekly awards winners for Week 7 of the 2024 gymnastics season.

GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
LAUREN MACPHERSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Sr., Gilbert, Arizona / Perry HS
• Scored a 39.275 in the all-around, the highest all-around total in the MW this week.
• In addition to winning the all-around, also tied for an individual title on bars, scoring a 9.850 and sharing the top spot with Utah State’s Dani Kirstine.
• Macpherson has earned a total of eight weekly awards this season.

VAULT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK / BARS SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
EMILY LOPEZ, BOISE STATE
Sr., Mission Viejo, California / Trabuco Hills HS
• Scored a 9.900 on vault to help Boise State to a 196.650 victory over Southern Utah and Sacramento State, which finished with scores of 196.250 and 195.225, respectively.
• In addition to the title on vault, also finished first on bars with a 9.950.
• Lopez has earned seven total weekly awards this season.

BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
ADRIANA POPP, BOISE STATE
5th, Easton, Pennsylvania / Commonwealth Charter Academy
• Scored a 9.950 on beam to help Boise State to a 196.650 victory over Southern Utah and Sacramento State, which finished with scores of 196.250 and 195.225, respectively.
• The award is Popp’s first of the season.

FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
COURTNEY BLACKSON, BOISE STATE
Sr., Elk Grove, California / Pleasant Grove HS
• Scored a 9.950 on floor to help Boise State to a 196.650 victory over Southern Utah and Sacramento State, which finished with scores of 196.250 and 195.225, respectively.
• Blackson has earned a total of five weekly awards this season.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE
Fr., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin / Arrowhead HS
• Scored a 9.925 on bars, the highest mark on any event by a freshman in the MW this week, to win the event in a tri-meet with UC Davis and Centenary.
• Also secured individual titles in the all-around (39.225) and on floor (9.875).
• Slife has been named MW Freshman of the Week in four of the last five weeks this season.

Competition within the MW continues this week as Boise State will travel to Utah State for a quad meet including Iowa State and Texas Woman’s on Friday, Feb. 23. Air Force will also take to the road on Friday, visiting Sacramento State. San José State will punctuate the week with a road contest at UC Davis on Sunday, Feb. 25.
