COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force junior Javin Bostic has been named the Mountain West Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, while teammate Devin Jordan was tabbed the MW Men’s Field Athlete and Freshman of the Week.
There were no women’s track and field selections this week.
MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JAVIN BOSTIC, AIR FORCE
Junior, Stockbridge, Georgia/Woodland HS
- Placed third in the 60-meter dash at the Air Force Last Chance Meet, clocking a personal-best time of 6.66.
- Broke the Academy record in the 60-meter dash and is the fastest time by any service academy runner.
MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE/FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
DEVIN JORDAN, AIR FORCE
Freshman, Eden Prairie, Minnesota/Eden Prairie HS
- Placed first in the high jump and the triple jump at the Air Force Last Chance Meet.
- Won the high jump with a career-best clearance of 2.05 meters, the fifth-best mark in the MW this season.
- Won the triple jump with a leap of 13.88 meters, the second-best distance of his career.
