FORT COLLINS – For the first time since 2017, multiple Rams have received invitations to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, slated to begin Feb. 26 in Indianapolis.
Dallin Holker and Mohamed Kamara, each All-Americans from the 2023 campaign, were officially added to the combine list on Tuesday, the NFL announced. The last time a pair of Rams attended the combine was in 2017 when linebacker Kevin Davis and punter Hayden Hunt took part. Colorado State has been represented at the seven times in the past nine years (2020, 2023).
It will be the second stop of the postseason for both Holker and Kamara who each participated in the 2024 East-West Shrine Game.
Holker, a 2023 unanimous second-team All-American, finished as a runner up for the 2023 John Mackey Award after a remarkable season with the Rams. His 64 receptions and 767 receiving yards were the most by any tight end during the 2023 regular season and ranked No. 40 and No. 69, respectively, among all pass catchers. Holker’s 10 contested catches, as graded by Pro Football Focus, were the most by any tight end, and his six touchdown receptions ranked third among tight ends. Within the program’s single-season record book, Holker concluded his Ram career among the very best. His six touchdown receptions tied for the most in a single season by a CSU tight end, and his receptions and receiving yards rank No. 3 and No. 2, respectively.
Kamara, a second-team All-American by the Football Writer’s Association of America and Phil Steele, led the Mountain West in sacks (13.0) and tackles for loss (17.0) and ranked among the nation’s best in both categories. He was the first Colorado State defensive player to be named to the FWAA’s All-America team since Greg Myers (1994) and just the third all-time. Defensive lineman Mike Bell was also named to the squad in 1978. His 13.0 sacks were the third-most in a single season in program history while his 17.0 TFLs ranked No. 8. For a career, Kamara left his mark on the program by finishing second in career sacks (30.5) and third in career tackles for loss (45.5).
The 2024 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 25.
