COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State senior Max Rice has been named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while UNLV’s Dedan Thomas Jr. was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

- Led Boise State to a 2-0 record last week with victories over then No. 19 New Mexico (86-78) and Air Force (94-56).
- Averaged 23.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while connecting on 57.1 percent of attempts from the floor and 52.4 percent of attempts from beyond the arc.
- Against the Lobos, scored a career-high 35 points behind a 12-of-20 from the field, including seven made triples.
- Recorded 12 points, four boards, two assists and two steals against the Falcons.

DEDAN THOMAS JR., UNLV
Guard, Las Vegas, Nevada/Liberty HS
- Helped UNLV to a pair of wins over Fresno State (78-69) and Wyoming (62-48).
- Averaged 13 points and 5.5 assists, while shooting 47.4 percent from the floor.
- Posted 12 points and six dimes against the Bulldogs.
- Recorded a game-high 14 points and five assists against the Cowboys.
