Colorado Springs, Colo. – Air Force junior Javin Bostic has been named the Mountain West Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, while Colorado State senior Drew Thompson was tabbed the MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week and Air Force’s James Warmbrod IV was named the MW Men’s Freshman of the Week.
Fresno State senior Ceonna Pipion has been selected as the MW Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, while Wyoming junior Sadie McMullen was named the MW Women’s Field Athlete of the Week and Air Force’s Kori Leverenz was tabbed the MW Women’s Freshman of the Week.
MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JAVIN BOSTIC, AIR FORCE
Junior, Stockbridge, Georgia/Woodland HS
- Won the 60-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open, crossing the finish line in 6.68 seconds.
- Time is second in the MW and 15th in the NCAA this season.
- Clocked a time of 21.41 to win the 200-meter dash, setting a meet record.
- Time ranks first in the Conference and ninth in the NCAA in 2023-24.

- Won the heptathlon at the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite with a score of 5,647.

- Won the 400-meter dash at the Air Force Holiday Open with a meet-record time of 48.63.
- Time leads the Mountain West and ranks 30th in the NCAA.

- Placed second in the 400-meter dash at the Spokane Invitational with a time of 55.12.
- Time ranks third in the NCAA this season.
- Helped the 4×400-meter relay to a first-place finish, clocking a time of 3:47.1.

- Won the long jump at the Wyoming Power Meet with a personal-best jump of 6.16 meters.

- Placed second in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes in debut at the Air Force Holiday open.
- Clocked a 200-meter time of 25.01, the sixth-fastest time in program history.
- Registered a 400-meter time of 56.50, the seventh-fastest time in Academy history.
