COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – The Mountain West Conference has partnered with The Zone, the premier mental performance platform in sports, making them the Preferred Mental Health Partner of the Mountain West.

The partnership exemplifies both organizations’ commitment to best-serving student-athletes. Earlier this fall, the Conference hosted The Zone at its annual Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meeting in Colorado Springs. The Zone led a presentation emphasizing the importance of wellness culture, safe spaces, and the edge student-athletes can have by prioritizing their mental health in addition to their physical health.  The Zone furthered collaboration with the Conference by making its platform available to Mountain West student-athletes, providing access to much-needed, personalized, and data-driven mental health resources.

Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez, commented on the partnership, “We are elated to partner with an organization that shares our passion for the well-being of our student-athletes. We want to enable our student-athletes with an innovative and accessible mental wellness platform that ensures they can perform at the highest level on and off the field/court, and that starts with providing the resources for them to be healthy physically and mentally.”

As part of the agreement, The Zone will receive visibility at Mountain West Championships throughout the year in addition to presence in the Conference’s digital and social media platforms.

“We are delighted to collaborate with the Mountain West in our common endeavor to work alongside their mental health professionals to enhance the well-being of student-athletes,” said Ivan Tchatchouwo, Co-Founder and CEO of The Zone. “Our collective goal is to empower these exceptional young athletes to tackle challenges with strength, resilience, and confidence, thus ensuring their success in both their athletic pursuits and life as a whole.”
