FORT COLLINS – Once again Isaiah Stevens has been recognized as one of the top point guards in the nation. The fifth-year, guard finds himself on the Bob Cousy Award preseason watch list for the second straight year.
Stevens returns to the preseason watch list after averaging 17.9 points, 6.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game last season for CSU, leading the team in scoring and assists. With his high usage rate, Stevens shot the ball well going 46.7% from the floor and making 37.8% of his 3-point attempts while having an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.07.
The Preseason Mountain West Player of the Year is one of 20 players on the list.
Colorado State is one of eight schools in the NCAA with a player on both the Bob Cousy and Nancy Lieberman watch lists for the top point guards in men’s and women’s basketball. McKenna Hoffsheild represents CSU on the Nancy Lieberman list.
Once again, fans can vote for their choice with the Fan Voting, presented by Dell Technologies. Voting by the fans opens on Friday, October 27. The 20 players list will be paired to 10 in late January and to the five finalists by the end of February. The 2024 Bob Cousy Award winner will be announced in March.

Stevens and the rest of the Colorado State men’s basketball team tip off the season on November 6 when they host Louisiana Tech at 8 pm. The game is part of an opening night doubleheader with women’s basketball.
