LAS VEGAS – For the second year in a row, the UNLV Lady Rebels have been selected to win the Mountain West regular season, as voted on by the league’s head coaches and select media.

UNLV received 24 of 27 first-place votes and totaled 284 points in the preseason poll. The Lady Rebels return four starters from the crew that won its second straight MW tournament and finished Conference play with a perfect 18-0 record. Among the returners for fourth-year head coach Lindy La Rocque are last season’s Preseason Player of the Year and MW tournament MVP Desi-Rae Young, along with the 2022-23 MW Sixth Player of the Year Kiara Jackson. Both Young and Jackson have been tabbed as part of the 2023-24 Preseason All-MW team.

Colorado State slides in behind UNLV predicted to finish second during the regular season with 245 points and one first-place vote, while Wyoming was selected to finish third with 237 points and two first-place votes.

Boise State was chosen to finish fourth with 201 points, San Diego State fifth with 183 points, New Mexico sixth with 168 points, Air Force seventh with 128 points, Nevada eighth with 111 points, San José State ninth with 93 points, Fresno State tenth with 89 points, and filling out the order of finish is Utah State in 11th with 43 points.
