LAS VEGAS, Nev. – For the second consecutive year, the UNLV Lady Rebels (28-2, 18-0 MW) enter the Mountain West Championship as the top seed after becoming the first MW team to finish the regular season with an undefeated league record since Colorado State in 2015-16.
The Lady Rebels, who look to defend their tournament title from 2022, have earned a bye to the quarterfinals and enter the Conference championship with their highest national ranking since 1993 (No. 22 in Associated Press Top 25 and No. 25 in USA Today Coaches Poll).
Wyoming, under the leadership of first-year head coach Heather Ezell will be the No. 2 seed after earning a 13-5 record in MW action, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds go to Colorado State and New Mexico, respectively. San Diego State is the No. 5 seed, followed by Boise State, Air Force, Nevada, Fresno State. San José State earned the No. 10 seed, while Utah State rounds out the field at No. 11.
Tournament aciton begins Sunday, March 5, at 2 p.m. PT when No. 8 Nevada takes on No. 9 Fresno State, followed by No. 7 Air Force vs. No. 10 seed San José State, and No. 6 Boise State against No. 11 Utah State.
All first-round, quarterfinal and semifinal matchups will be live streamed on the Mountain West Network and the MW App.
