COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force linebacker Vince Sanford earned Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week for his performance in the Falcons’ 24-14 victory over Wyoming on Oct. 9.
Each week during the regular season, the Maxwell Football Club will recognize an outstanding defensive performance with the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week honor.
The native of Hamilton, Ohio, tallied six tackles, including one sack, forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble in the win.
The victory improved Air Force to 5-1 (2-1 MW), its best start since 2010.
On the year, Sanford leads the team in tackles (31), tackles for loss (8.0), sacks (6.5) and forced fumbles (3).
