COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State junior Mica Rivera has been named the Mountain West Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, while Colorado State junior Thomas Chaston was selected as the Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

  • Helped Utah State to a team title at the Dixie State Invitational, beating No. 30 Cal Baptist by 13 points.
  • Claimed second place with a time of 20:43.4.

MEN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Thomas Chaston, Colorado State
Sophomore, Colorado Springs, Colorado/Cheyenne Mountain HS

  • Helped the Rams win the Wyoming-Colorado State Dual.
  • First uniformed runner to cross the finish line with a time of 18:10.2.
  • Finished five seconds ahead of the next runner.
