COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West regular season has concluded, and the bracket is set for the 2026 Credit Union 1 MW Baseball Championship scheduled for May 21-24 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona.
San Diego State won its fourth Mountain West regular-season title, third outright crown, and first title since 2023. With a 16-8 record in Conference play, the Aztecs earned the No. 1 seed. SDSU is making its 23rd postseason tournament appearance and second in a row.
Washington State enters the MW championship as the No. 2 seed after finishing league action with a 15-9 mark and winning the head-to-head tiebreaker over Air Force. The Cougars are making their first MW appearance.
San Diego State and Washington State each receive a first-round bye and will play the winners of game two and game one, respectively. on Friday.
With a 15-9 record in Conference play, Air Force is the No. 3 seed for next week’s league tournament. The Falcons are making their 15th MW postseason appearance in program history and first since 2024. Air Force won its first postseason tournament title in 2022.
Nevada enters the 2026 MW postseason as the No, 4 seed after concluding the regular season with a 13-11 record. The Wolf Pack are making their second straight and 10th postseason tournament appearance.
New Mexico wrapped up the regular season with a 12-11-1 record and earned the No. 5 seed. The Lobos are making their 21st MW postseason appearance in program history and third straight since 2024.
Nevada and New Mexico meet in the second game of the opening day on Thursday, May 21. The first pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. PT on the Mountain West Network.
With a 11-13 record in MW action and winning the tiebreaker over Grand Canyon and San José State, UNLV has earned the final berth to the MW championship and is the No. 6 seed. The Rebels are making their second straight MW tournament appearance and 22nd overall in program history.
