ATLANTA – The San Diego State swim and dive program wrapped another successful campaign on Saturday, as senior Abby Storm competed in the preliminaries of the 200 backstroke at the NCAA Championships inside McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

A native of Denver, Colorado, Storm swam in the second heat of the morning session, posting a time of 1:57.61 to finish 42nd in the event overall.

At last month’s Mountain West Championships, Storm earned all-conference honors in the 100 and 200 back and as a member of SDSU’s 200 medley and 400 medley relays, helping the Scarlet and Black capture its fifth straight MW crown and 10th overall.

Storm and fellow co-captain Moa Bergdahl helped extend the Aztec swim and dive team’s streak of qualifying at least one student-athlete to the NCAA Championships to 16 consecutive seasons.

Bergdahl swam in the 100 and 200 breast at the national meet this week, while Storm also participated in the 100 back.

With Storm and Bergdahl on the roster, San Diego State logged a 10-0 record in dual-meet competition during the 2025-26 season, extending its winning streak to 85 in that category with a home victory over the San Diego Toreros on Jan. 23. The Aztecs have not lost a dual meet since Jan. 8, 2018, a span of over eight years.
