COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Wyoming senior guard Leland Walker has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Cowboy teammate Naz Meyer was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.

This is the second freshman of the week honor for Meyer in 2025-26.

MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LELAND WALKER, WYOMING

Senior, Guard, Indianapolis, Indiana/Florida Atlantic

  • Led Wyoming to a 1-1 record last week with a 101-59 victory over Denver and a 76-72 loss at No. 20/20 Texas Tech.
  • Averaged 22 points, four rebounds and three assists per game, while shooting 53.3 percent (16-of-30) from the field. Also made 10-of-10 from the charity stripe.
  • Recorded 16 points and three boards and dished out four assists against the Pioneers.
  • Against the Red Raiders, registered a season-high 28 points. Also pulled down five rebounds.

MEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

NAZ MEYER, WYOMING

Freshman, Guard, Los Angeles, California/New Hampton School

  • Helped Wyoming to a 1-1 record last week with a 101-59 victory over Denver and a 76-72 loss at No. 20/20 Texas Tech.
  • Averaged 11 points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 52.9 percent (9-for-17) from the floor.
  • Recorded 14 points, five boards and four assists against the Pioneers.
  • Posted eight points and five rebounds against the Red Raiders.
