COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV’s Meadow Roland collected the Old Trapper Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week nod, while Fresno State’s Ava Marr was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.

Sophomore, Forward, Fresno, California/San Joaquin Memorial HS

  • Led the Lady Rebels to a 2-0 week with wins over Creighton (76-67) and UNI (62-56).
  • Averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, shot 64 percent from the field, 44 percent from three and 66.7 percent from the charity stripe.
  • Against the Bluejays, registered a career-high 25 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal.
  • Against the Panthers, logged 17 points and five boards for the Scarlet and Gray.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
AVA MARR, FRESNO STATE
Guard, Brier, Washington/Archbishop Murphy HS

  • Helped the Bulldogs to a pair of neutral site wins over New Mexico State (64-49) and Louisiana-Lafayette (61-48).
  • Averaged seven points, 1.5 rebounds, one assist and one steal per game. Shot 45.5 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from three.
  • Against the Aggies, tallied five points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
  • Against the Ragin’ Cajuns, recorded nine points, one assist and one steal.
