AROUND THE MOUNTAIN WEST
- Colorado State’s victory at Gonzaga marked the Rams’ eighth consecutive road win, the fourth-longest active road win streak in DI.
- New Mexico has shot at least 50 percent from the field while taking at least 20 3-pointers in three different games this season. The only other DI teams with at least three such games this season are Michigan State (four), Oklahoma State (four), Florida (three) and UC Santa Barbara (three).
- Air Force’s Jayda McNabb is one of two DI players in 2025-26 with at least 20 offensive rebounds and eight steals, along with MTSU’s Blair Baugus. This is McNabb’s second time reaching those marks through four games of a season (2023-24). Only two other players in MW history have done so twice, New Mexico’s Brandi Kimble (2007-08) and UNLV’s Sherry McCracklin (2003-04).
- In Boise State’s matchup with UC Davis, Dani Bayes scored 31 points while shooting 84.6 percent from the field, 77.8 percent from 3 and 100 percent from the foul line. No other player in MW history has had a game with that many points while having shooting splits of 80/75/100.
- New Mexico’s Alyssa Hargrove had 10 steals over her last two games and now sits at 170 steals and 54 blocks for her college career. The only other active DI players with at least 170 steals and 50 blocks are LSU’s Flau’Jae Johnson, TCU’s Maddie Scherr, UCLA’s Charlisse Leger-Walker and Howard’s Nile Miller.
- Mountain West women’s basketball logged a nonconference win percentage of .587 in 2024-25, which was its best since the 2009-10 season, when the league went 79-48 (.622).
- Four MW programs competed in postseason tournaments last season: Air Force (WNIT), San Diego State (NCAA), UNLV (WBIT), Wyoming (WBIT).
- The MW welcomes three new head coaches to the league: Ryan McCarthy (Fresno State), Winston Gandy (Grand Canyon) and Jonas Chatterton (San José State).
