LAS VEGAS – The 2025-26 Mountain West women’s basketball preseason honors and team were announced today as voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches and select media.

Boise State’s Tatum Thompson was named the Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year. Over the senior’s three previous seasons, she has registered a total of 775 points, 394 rebounds and 103 assists for the Broncos. During the 2024-25 season, she logged a 48.4 percent field-goal percentage and averaged 13.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game en route to earning All-Mountain West honors.

San Diego State’s Kendall Mosley was tabbed the MW Preseason Freshman of the Year. The guard from Prosper, Texas, was named the 2024-25 6A MVP, was a two-time District 5-6A Offensive MVP and was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 6A All-Region Team.

Grand Canyon’s Chloe Mann picked up the MW Newcomer of the Year honor. The Cincinnati transfer averaged nearly 8.5 points per game and scored a total of 237 points during her rookie year. The Fort Worth, Texas, native was fourth on her team in points per game and third in steals (32).

Joining Thompson and Mann on the Preseason All-Mountain West team are Air Force’s Milahnie Perry, Boise State’s Natalie Pasco, Colorado State’s Hannah Ronsiek, New Mexico’s Destinee Hooks, San Diego State’s Naomi Panganiban, UNLV’s Aaliyah Alexander and Meadow Roland and Wyoming’s Malene Pedersen.
