2025 Mountain West Cross Country Athletes of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State’s Kaiya Robertson has been named the Mountain West Women’s Cross Country Athlete, while Wyoming senior Jacob White was selected as the MW Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks. Colorado State’s Parker Westermann earned MW Men’s Freshman of the Week honors with fellow Ram first-year runner Tatum Berg picking up MW Women’s Freshman of the Week honors for a second time this season.

WOMEN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
KAIYA ROBERTSON, BOISE STATE
Senior, Portland, Oregon/Franklin HS

  • Finished fifth overall in the 5k at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational.
  • Recorded a time of 16:08.9, helping the Bronco women to a third-place finish.

WOMEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
TATUM BERG, COLORADO STATE
Fort Collins, Colorado/Fossil Ridge HS

  • Competed in the 5k at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame.
  • Recorded a time of 17:08.7 to finish 47th
  • Best 5k time among Mountain West freshman and seventh-best 5k time among all Mountain West athletes this fall.

MEN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JACOB WHITE, WYOMING
Senior, Littleton, Colorado/Dakota Ridge HS

  • Broke his own school record in the 8k, recording a time of 22:45.1 to finish third overall at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational.
  • The performance helped the Cowboys to a third-place team finish.
  • Has finished in the top three in every meet this season and holds three program top-15 times in the 8k.

MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
PARKER WESTERMANN, COLORADO STATE
Mead, Washington/Mount Spokane HS

  • Finished 78th overall in the 8k at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
  • His time of 24:21.7 is the third-best 8k time by a Mountain West freshman this season.
