DALLAS – Three Mountain West players earned spots on the 2025 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List, as announced by the Football Writers Association of America on Tuesday.
Boise State junior EDGE Jayden Virgin-Morgan, San José State senior linebacker Jordan Pollard and San Diego State junior EDGE Trey White are among the 60 contenders for the national defensive player of the year.
With three selections, the Mountain West is tied for third among FBS conferences, trailing only the Big 12 and ACC.
The FWAA and the Charlotte Touchdown Club will announce four finalists for the 2025 Bronko Nagurski Trophy in mid-to-late November, and the winner will be revealed at the Bronko Nagurski Awards Banquet on Dec. 8 in Charlotte, N.C.
