COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada rookie Sean Yamaguchi has been named the Mountain West Baseball Player and Freshman of the Week, while Wolf Pack teammate Peyton Fosher has been selected the MW Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

  • Helped Nevada to a Conference series sweep over Washington State.
  • Batted .571 in two starts with four hits, including two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored.
  • Posted two multi-hit efforts and a 1.429 slugging percentage.

Senior, Tomball, Texas/Angelina College

  • Made one start on the mound last week, earning a 1-0 record.
  • Pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk.
  • Matched his career-high nine strikeouts.
