COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The competitive excellence of the Mountain West was once again on display as all four teams were represented with weekly accolades as the league announced Week 9 weekly award winners for the 2025 gymnastics season.

ALL-AROUNDER OF THE WEEK
MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE
So., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin / Arrowhead HS

  • Scored a conference-best 39.300 in the all-around, capturing the individual title at Utah State.
  • Recorded a 9.850 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.750 on beam and a 9.850 on floor en route to her all-around total.
  • Also secured individual titles on vault and bars in the meet against the Aggies.
  • Slife has won a league-best 13 weekly awards, including All-Arounder of the Week in all but one week this season.

VAULT SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA VULAJ, BOISE STATE
Sr., Yorba Linda, California / Yorba Linda HS

  • Scored a league-best 9.875 on vault to capture the individual title at Southern Utah.
  • Also competed on beam and floor, scoring a 9.800 and 9.850, respectively.
  • Vulaj has been recognized as the Vault Specialist of the Week three times this season.

BARS SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
SYDNEY LEITCH, BOISE STATE
Jr., Irvine, California / Beckman HS

  • Scored a league-best 9.875 on bars to finish second on the event at Southern Utah.
  • Also competed on beam, scoring a 9.800.
  • The award is Leitch’s first honor this season.

BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
EMILY LOPEZ, BOISE STATE
Sr., Mission Viejo, California / Trabuco Hills HS

  • Scored a league-best 9.900 on beam to capture the individual title at Southern Utah.
  • Also competed on vault and bars, scoring a 9.675 and 9.825, respectively.
  • The award is Lopez’ first Beam Specialist of the Week accolade and seventh of the season.

FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
NYLA MORABITO, UTAH STATE
So., Welland, Ontario, Canada / Notre Dame College School

  • Scored a league-best 9.875 on floor to capture the individual title in a dual meet against Air Force.
  • Also competed on vault during the meet, scoring a 9.850 to tie teammate Payton Gatzlaff and the Falcons’ Maggie Slife for the individual title.
  • The award is Morabito’s fourth Floor Specialist recognition this season, including third in the last four weeks.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MADISON GUSTITUS, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Fr., Chicago, Illinois / Neuqua Valley HS

  • Scored a 9.875 on beam at Oregon State, representing the highest mark on any event by a freshman this week.
  • Also competed on floor during the meet.
  • The award is Gustitus’ fourth Freshman of the Week honor this season and first since Week 4.

Mountain West teams return to action this weekend in the final meet for each team before the Credit Union 1 MW Gymnastics Championships, hosted by San José State on Saturday, March 22. Tickets for the championship are available at this link or through the SJSU ticket office. Boise State and Utah State kick off the weekend, hosting Southern Utah and traveling to Arizona, respectively, on Friday, March 14. Air Force then competes at Oregon State on Saturday, March 15, while San José State wraps up the weekend in a quad meet at California, alongside Stanford and Arizona State on Sunday, March 16.
