COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming’s Malene Pedersen was tabbed the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Colorado State’s Kloe Froebe was named the MW Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week.

This is the fourth MW weekly honor for Froebe and first for Pedersen during the 2024-25 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MALENE PEDERSEN, WYOMING
Junior, Guard, Aabyhoj, Demark/Kansas State

  • Led the Cowgirls to a win over Mountain West regular-season champions UNLV (71-66).
  • Against the Lady Rebels, totaled a career-high 27 points behind a career-best five triples.
  • Contributed four rebounds, four assists and one steal.
  • Shot 52.9 percent from the floor, 55.6 percent from three and was perfect from the free-throw line.


FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KLOE FROEBE, COLORADO STATE
Guard, Lincoln, Illinois/Lincoln HS

  • Helped the Rams to a win over San José State (90-70).
  • Collected her third double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Produced three assists and two steals for the Green and Gold.
  • Shot 53.3 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from beyond the arc.
