COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State’s Tatum Thompson has been tabbed the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Colorado State’s Kloe Froebe collected the MW Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week honor.

This is the second MW weekly honor for Froebe and first for Thompson this season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TATUM THOMPSON, BOISE STATE

Junior, Forward, Woodinville, Washington/Woodinville HS

  • Led the Broncos to a 2-0 week with wins over San José State (93-64) and Nevada (61-53).
  • Averaged a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds per game, while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line. Also averaged three assists and 2.5 blocks.
  • Against the Spartans, logged a career-high 25 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and shot 53.8 percent from the floor. Made a career-high 11 free throws on 13 attempts from the charity stripe.
  • Against the Wolf Pack, tallied 11 points, 12 boards, two assists and a pair of steals.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

KLOE FROEBE, COLORADO STATE

Guard, Lincoln, Illinois/Lincoln HS

  • Helped the Rams to a 1-1 week with a road victory over San Diego State (62-58).
  • Averaged 12.5 points, 12 boards, 2.5 steals per game and shot 10-for-21 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line.
  • At San Diego State, recorded 18 points, 18 rebounds and two steals. Logged her first career double-double and is the only freshman in the country to post 18 points and 18 rebounds in a game this season.
  • Against New Mexico, notched seven points, six rebounds, three steals and one assist.
