In its win over South Dakota on Sunday, Wyoming became the first MW team, fourth in Division I, this century to have three players collect 5+ rebounds, 4+ assists and 3+ made 3-pointers in the same game (Tess Barnes, Emily Mellema, Ola Ustowka). 

UNLV has 19-point wins over both UCF (Big 12) and DePaul (Big East) this season. That is tied for the most wins by that margin or more against power conference teams in a single season in MW history (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC).

Fresno State’s Mia Jacobs has eight double-doubles; only LSU’s Aneesah Morrow (10) has more in Division I. Jacobs’ eight double-doubles are the most through 12 player games of a season by a MW player since 2016-17, when Fresno State’s Bego Faz Davalos had nine. 

Four Mountain West programs are ranked in the top 100 of the NET: UNLV, 44; San Diego State, 72; Boise State, 90; and Colorado State, 98. 

Boise State’s Abby Muse has posted the third-most active career blocked shots among active players in Division I, 290, and is fifth among active DI players in career blocked shots per game at 2.2.

Colorado State’s Hannah Simental has the fourth-highest free-throw percentage among active players in DI, 88.3.

Colorado State’s Emma Ronsiek was named an Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week by the USBWA on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

UNLV head coach Lindy La Rocque has been named to the Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year Award watch list.

Three-time defending regular-season and Conference tournament champion UNLV looks to extend its reign for a fourth consecutive year. The three consecutive regular-season and tournament titles are a first in Conference history. 

Her Hoop Stats Preseason Bracketology revealed the MW to have the potential to be a two-bid league with UNLV securing a 12 seed while Colorado State is predicted to be in the play-in round for the shot at a 12 seed slot.
