- The Mountain West has four teams in the top 60 of the NET rankings (as of Dec. 9) and is one of seven conferences (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, SEC and WCC) that have four or more in the top 60.
- The MW is 55-38 (.591) in nonconference action in 2024-25, ranking among the top 12 conferences in the nation.
- Eight of 11 MW teams are .500 or better in nonconference play this season.
- The MW is one of six conferences in the country that have a combined 38 or fewer losses on the season.
- The Mountain West has two teams ranked or receiving votes in both national polls. San Diego State is ranked in both polls, while Utah State is receiving votes in both.
- Mountain West teams have a combined 35 wins by double digits in 2024-25.
- Six Mountain West teams earned bids to the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, a league record and the most since earning five in 2012-13.
- The six NCAA tournament bids last season were tied for the third most among Division I Conferences (Big 12, 8, SEC, 8; Big Ten, 6).

- Air Force’s Ethan Taylor has made 37 triples this season, ranking fifth in the nation in three-point field goals made.
- Colorado State’s Nique Clifford leads the nation in defensive rebounds per game, averaging 9.2 in 2024-25.
- New Mexico’s Donovan Dent is fourth in the nation in total assists with 75 this season.
- San Diego State’s Magoon Gwath is fifth in DI men’s basketball in total blocks with 27 in 2024-25.
- Wyoming’s Jordan Nesbitt has posted six double-doubles this season, which leads the MW and ranks sixth in the nation.
- Boise State’s Tyson Degenhart opens the 2024-25 season on multiple watch lists. The senior forward has been named to the 2024-25 Jersey Mike’s Naismith Men’s Player of the Year Watch List, the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Top 20 Preseason Watch List and the Lute Olson Early Season Watch List.
