COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State sophomore guard Mason Falslev has been named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while San Diego State newcomer Pharaoh Compton was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

MASON FALSLEV, UTAH STATE
Sophomore, Guard, Benson, Utah/Sky View HS
- Led Utah State to a 2-0 record with victories over Wyoming (70-67) and Utah Tech (92-62).
- Averaged 14 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists per game, while connecting on 50 percent of attempts from the floor.
- In the win over the Cowboys, he recorded 19 points, six boards and three steals.
- Against the Trailblazers, he nearly posted a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

PHARAOH COMPTON, SAN DIEGO STATE
Forward, Chicago, Illinois/Arbor View HS
- Helped San Diego State to a pair of wins over Fresno State (84-62) and San Diego (74-57).
- Averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 boards and one steal per game, while connecting on 76.9 percent of attempts from the field.
- Recorded 12 points and six rebounds against the Toreros.
- Scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds against the Bulldogs.
