COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State sophomore guard Miles Byrd has been named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while teammate Pharaoh Compton was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

- Helped San Diego State to a 2-1 record with wins over No. 6 Houston (73-70) and No. 21 Creighton (71-53) and a loss to Oregon (78-68).
- Averaged 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, two assists and 1.7 steals per game, while connecting on 42.4 percent of attempts from the floor.
- Scored a team-high 18 points in the win over Houston. Also had six boards and three assists.
- Recorded 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks against Creighton.

- Helped San Diego State to a 2-1 record with wins over No. 6 Houston (73-70) and No. 21 Creighton (71-53) and a loss to Oregon (78-68).
- Averaged nine points, 2.7 boards and one steal per game, while connecting on 65 percent of attempts from the field.
- Scored a career-high 13 points in the overtime win against Houston.
