COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three Mountain West men cross country teams and one women’s cross country team appeared in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Poll (USTFCCCA), released on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
The New Mexico men remain in the top 10 for the third straight week, checking in at No. 8, while the Lobo women jumped from No. 21 to No. 17 this week after they defeated then-No. 16 Oklahoma State last weekend.
The Air Force men were ranked for a third consecutive week, coming in at No. 28, with the Utah State men joining the rankings for the first time this year at No. 30. Additionally, the Wyoming men were one of eight teams to receive votes in this week’s poll.
The 2024 Mountain West Cross Country Championships are set for Friday, November 1 and wil be hosted by Air Force at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs.
