ATLANTA – For the third-straight season, Boise State women’s basketball earned a spot in the annual Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, the WBCA announced on Wednesday.
The Broncos earned the 22nd-highest cumulative GPA among Division I women’s basketball programs in the country, carrying a 3.614 GPA during the 2023-24 academic year.
Boise State came in at the No. 10 spot last season and the No. 7 position two seasons ago. The Blue and Orange are one of eight schools nationally to earn a spot in the rankings in each of the last three seasons.
The Broncos are one of two Mountain West schools represented in the rankings, with Wyoming’s GPA of 3.672 coming in at the No. 16 spot. Youngstown State was the national leader with a 3.868 cumulative GPA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2023-24 season is the 29th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
