COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Mountain West Commissioner Gloria Nevarez will serve as president-elect of Women Leaders in Sports in 2023-24, the organization announced recently at the Women Leaders in Sports National Convention in New Orleans.
Nevarez, who began her tenure at the Mountain West in January, will serve on a three-year executive track for Women Leaders. Nevarez was already serving on the organization’s board of directors.
Founded in 1979, Women Leaders in Sports is the only nationally recognized professional membership organization whose mission is to develop, connect, advance, and champion women leaders working in sports. Women Leaders provides career and leadership training, access to a powerful network, and the resources to advance women at every stage of their careers.
